Boral Cultured Stone® – Installation Techniques

While the general installation procedure is the same for most Cultured Stone® products, there are some variations, depending on the style desired, and the particular product used. Cultured Stone® products are generally installed in one of two ways: with a 1/2” mortar joint, or with a tight-fitted joint.

Installation with a 1/2” mortar joint is the most commonly used, and is suited for a variety of Cultured Stone® textures, including Dressed Fieldstone, River Rock, Stream Stone, Old Country Fieldstone, Rockface, Limestone and Coral Stone.

Popular Ledgestone syles can be installed with either a 1/2” mortar joint, or with a tight-fitted joint. These include Southern Ledgestone, Weather Edge Ledgestone and Country Ledgestone. Because of this flexibility, Country Ledgestone is frequently blended with other Cultured Stone® products, such as Dressed Fieldstone, to provide a custom look.

Other styles are always installed with a tight-fitted joint. These include Drystack Ledgestone and European Castle Stone. European Castle Stone also features a patented mortar groove, around all four edges, to help speed installation, and insure a clean, finished appearance.

For the look of a tight-fitted joint, with even faster installation, there are the Cultured Stone® modular component systems: Pro-Fit® Ledgestone and Pro-Fit®Alpine Ledgestone. Like European Castle Stone, Pro-Fit® Ledgestones feature the patented mortar groove, for fast, clean installation.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
